The data providers of CompNet are national statistical institutes, national central banks and governmental research institutions of roughly 20 European countries. It is thanks to the efforts of these institutions that the CompNet micro data set is existent in its far-reaching and comprehensive form.

The CompNet dataset is currently at its sixth vintage with the seventh already in development. The data providers work in close cooperation with CompNet's research team and the secretariat by providing the micro data of their respective countries, but also by giving valuable feedback and by endeavoring in research at the frontier of micro-funded data.
